Genta Incorporated (Nasdaq: GNTA), announced that Genasense®
(oblimersen sodium) Injection, the Company's lead anticancer
compound, will be featured in presentations at the twenty-third
annual symposium of the Chemotherapy Foundation in New York, NY.
Investigators will review and discuss the activity and safety of
Genasense in combination with chemotherapy from the Company's
pivotal clinical studies in malignant melanoma and chronic
lymphocytic leukemia. Highlighted presentations include the

in Melanoma Frank G. Haluska, M.D., Ph.D, Director,
Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare Melanoma Program, and Assistant
Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School.
About Genasense
Genasense inhibits production of Bcl-2, a protein made by cancer
cells that is thought to block chemotherapy-induced apoptosis
(programmed cell death). By reducing the amount of Bcl-2 in cancer
cells, Genasense may enhance the effectiveness of current

development program with Genasense to evaluate its potential to
